About Blackpill Lido
Blackpill Lido is a free, outdoor water-play attraction on the Swansea Bay seafront at Blackpill, between the city centre and Mumbles. It centres on a paddling pool and splash pad that are hugely popular with families on warm days, alongside a children's dry play area, a climbing rock and picnic facilities, so there is plenty to do whether or not children want to get wet. Public toilets are available on site, and deck chairs can be hired for a small charge, though entry to the lido itself is free and no booking is required. The lido operates seasonally, opening daily through the summer months; for 2026 the published season runs from early May to late September, from 9am to 5pm. It is easy to reach on foot or by bike along the seafront cycle track, by bus with a stop very close by, or by car with parking nearby. Its setting on the promenade, with views across the bay and the adjacent Blackpill nature area, makes it a classic Swansea family day out. Entry is free.
