About Morriston Park

Morriston Park, known locally as Parc Treforys, is a well-loved park in Morriston in the north of Swansea. It was renamed and opened to the public in 1912 and continues to provide a place for recreation and relaxation today. The park has a generous children's play area with a zipwire, a junior multi-unit climber with slides, two-bay swings, pyramid net climbing, a roundabout and a toddler climber with slides, so there is something for a wide range of ages. Beyond the playground, the park offers BMX and skate jumps, outdoor fitness equipment, a lake with a wildlife area and pond, walking trails and a bowling green, making it one of the larger and more varied green spaces in this part of the city. There are two main entrances, including one on Clasemont Road. The mix of play, sport, nature and open space has made the park a focal point for the Morriston community for over a century, and it is supported by a Friends group. Entry is free.
