About Jersey Park

Jersey Park is a neighbourhood park and recreation ground in the St Thomas area of Swansea, managed by Swansea Council, serving the east side of the city close to the docks and the River Tawe. Its children's play area was earmarked for upgrade as part of the council's wider play areas renewal programme, and the refreshed playground provides swings, carousels, climbing frames and multiplay units for a range of ages. Around the play equipment there is open grassland and recreation space where children can run around and families can picnic. Entry to the park is free. There is no dedicated car park, so visitors use on-street parking in the surrounding streets around St Illtyd's Crescent. As a compact local green space, Jersey Park is best suited to a neighbourhood play session for families living in St Thomas and nearby, giving younger and older children a modern mix of play equipment within easy reach of home. Note that Jersey Park is a separate park from the nearby Bonymaen Park, which has its own playground off Mansel Road.
