About Peel Park Playground
Peel Park in Little Hulton — not to be confused with the historic Peel Park by the University of Salford — is one of Salford's oldest parks, having first opened to the public in 1910. Today it is classed as a neighbourhood park managed by Salford City Council with 24-hour pedestrian access. Its children's play area, for under-14s, is unusually inclusive: alongside climbing frames with high and low slides, a climbing net, swinging bars, a roundabout, a three-seat see-saw and a cantilever tyre swing, there is a low slide with an accessible drag ramp, a rotating dish with a dipped lip edge, and swing frames fitted with inclusive and cradle seats. A multi-use games area, an outdoor gym and a pavilion (with toilets available on request) complete the site.
