About Sighthill Park
Sighthill Park is a free, public park on Broomhouse Road in the Sighthill area of south-west Edinburgh, managed by the City of Edinburgh Council. It is a large, open green space with flat expanses of grass used for football and informal games, bounded by community woodlands that were planted at the start of the new Millennium. The park has benefited from recent investment, with large new and replacement play equipment installed as part of a capital funding programme. Its play provision is designed for a mix of age groups and includes a multi-use games area, a bouldering wall and an outdoor gym, alongside a dedicated skateboard and BMX park that makes it a draw for older children and teenagers. With plenty of room to run around, wheeled-sport facilities and woodland on its edges, Sighthill Park is a practical and well-used community park serving the south-west of the city. It is looked after by the council's south-west locality team, and its combination of open sports grass, modern play equipment and skate facilities gives families with children of different ages somewhere everyone can enjoy.
