About Coundon Hall Park

Coundon Hall Park is on Waste Lane in the Coundon area of north-west Coventry, run by Coventry City Council, and is one of the city's newer and lesser-known parks. It combines extensive playing fields, well-equipped play areas and an area of woodland. The playground provision is split into two parts. The younger play area is fully enclosed and includes a multi-play frame with a slide and rope climb, two toddler swings, a springer and a small roundabout. The older children's play area is well stocked, with a larger multi-play frame featuring rope climb and monkey bars, six junior swings, three springers, a slide, a wooden climbing frame with a bridge and rope climb, a two-seater roundabout and a skateboard simulator. There is also a teen area with a basketball net and a covered seating area. Beyond play, the park has around 14 football pitches with seasonal goalposts, a wooded area and an orienteering course (run with Octavian Droobers). A 3000m trail on grass loops the site for walkers and runners. The park is open from dawn to dusk and is free to enter; barbecues and fires are not permitted. Its generous space and separate age-appropriate play areas make it a strong choice for families with children of mixed ages.
