About Oldbury Court Estate
Oldbury Court Estate is a historic park in Fishponds, about three miles north-east of Bristol city centre, owned and managed by Bristol City Council and listed Grade II on the national register of historic parks and gardens. Spanning more than 80 hectares of woodland, meadow and riverside along the River Frome, it is a Site of Nature Conservation Interest and carries the Frome Valley Walkway through its grounds. For families the draw is the children's play park, set beside the river, which is for children aged 13 and under and includes water and sand play areas, swings and slides. A cafe kiosk with terrace seating sits right next to the play park, making it an easy family day out. There is no charge for admission and the grounds are open at all times. Toilets with disabled and baby changing facilities are located near the play area and at the Snuff Mills car park. Two car parks serve the estate, open 8am to dusk on weekdays and 8:30am to dusk at weekends, with parking charges of £1 to £3 applying from 9am to 6pm, payable by RingGo app, card or cash.
