About Eastville Park
Eastville Park is a Victorian municipal park laid out between 1889 and 1894 on former estate lands, and is maintained by Bristol City Council. Covering a broad sweep of green space beside Fishponds Road, it is one of east Bristol's best-loved open spaces, with a fishing lake, wildflower meadows, three football pitches, a tennis court, a bowling green and a one-mile running circuit. The children's play provision sits in the south-east corner of the park: a dog-free playground for under 15s with a basketball area, alongside a separate play area aimed at younger children. There is no admission charge and the park is open at all times, with seasonal gate hours of 8am to 8pm from November to March and 8am to 10pm from April to October. Toilets are open daily from 8am to 6pm, and the park stays open throughout the Christmas period. Parking is available at the Park Avenue car park (BS5 6QL), and there is an electric car charging point on site.
