About Piglets Adventure Farm
Piglets Adventure Farm at Towthorpe, just outside York, is a multi-award-winning family day out that blends adventurous play with plenty of animals to meet. Children can get close to the farmyard friends in the Animal Baaarn and along the farmyard trail, where pigs, goats, rabbits, lambs, alpacas, guinea pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, ponies, donkeys and horses live, and the much-loved Piggy Maternity Ward lets visitors see expectant mummy pigs and newborn piglets. Seasonal hands-on encounters include bottle-feeding lambs and stroking chicks at certain times of year. On the play side there are bouncy pillows, an indoor play barn with a slide, pedal go-karts, a beach and sand area and a seasonal maize maze, so there's enough to fill a whole day. On-site food and drink and free parking round out the facilities. The farm opens on selected dates through the year and runs big seasonal events from Easter and summer through Halloween and Christmas sleigh rides, with short closures between seasons for maintenance. Prices vary by day and season, with toddlers often free and savings for booking online, plus annual memberships for regular visitors.
