About Reedswood Park

Reedswood Park is a popular community green space in the Reedswood area of Walsall, managed by Walsall Council and awarded Green Flag status in July 2023. Set on former colliery land, the park is a favourite with young families for its children's play area, which sits alongside a free-to-use skate park, an outdoor gym and a multi-use games area reached through wheelchair-accessible gates. A circular walk links the main park to a fishing pool, where angling is possible with the appropriate licence, and a wooded area borders the grounds. Regular health walks make use of the hard, tarmac-surfaced paths that run all around and through the park; these are suitable for wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments and pushchairs, though the routes between the fishing pool and the main park are not wheelchair-suitable. There is a good number of well-spaced benches along the main paths. The park has football pitches that can be booked. There is no car park on site, but on-street parking is available around the perimeter. With its mix of play, sport and open green space, Reedswood Park is a reliable local destination for an afternoon out.
