About Donnington Recreation Ground
Donnington Recreation Ground is a free, public open space on School Road in Donnington, in the north of Telford, managed by Telford & Wrekin Council. It serves as a local hub for play and informal sport, bringing together facilities for a range of ages in one place. At its heart is a children's play area, alongside a skate park that makes it a popular spot for older children and teenagers wanting to practise on wheels. A ball court provides space for informal football and other games, and there is a table tennis table for casual play. Allotments adjoin the site, adding to its community character. As with most of the council's neighbourhood playgrounds, the recreation ground is free to use and open to the public, with no entry charge. The council directory lists the core facilities but does not publish detailed information on play equipment, surfacing, accessibility, toilets, parking or dog access for this site, so visitors wanting specifics on those points are advised to contact Telford & Wrekin Council directly. Its mix of play area, skate park and ball court makes it one of the more varied neighbourhood spaces in the Donnington area.
