About Dulwich Park Playground
Dulwich Park is a 30.85-hectare public park in Dulwich, in the London Borough of Southwark, opened in 1890 and listed Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. Its children's playground offers things to climb, swing on and slide down, with equipment intended to suit children of different ages, sizes and abilities, including wheelchair-accessible items. The wider park is a well-loved family destination with a boating lake, a cafe, a bowling green that has operated since 1900, and a range of sporting facilities. Cars have been prohibited within the park since 2003, other than for disabled badge holders, making it a calm environment for young children. The park is managed by Southwark Council and supported by the Dulwich Park Friends group.
