About Manor Farm Country Park

Manor Farm Country Park at Bursledon, about midway between Southampton and Portsmouth, is run by Hampshire County Council and combines a traditional working farm with a large riverside country park. Young visitors can get up close to animals including alpacas, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, geese, ducks, pigs, sheep, cows, chickens, donkeys and horses, with seasonal lambs, piglets and calves to see too. A farm-themed play area keeps children busy with large play tractors, a combine harvester and a pedal circuit, and there is a den-building area and a shepherd's caravan to explore. The Farm Cafe and a Playbarn Kiosk serve hot meals, sandwiches, ice creams and drinks, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices, and there are toilets with baby changing. Disabled access and disabled parking are provided. The farm charges paid admission while the surrounding country park, with its riverside and woodland walks, is free to enter and dog-friendly, although only assistance dogs may come into the farm. Opening days and prices are seasonal, so check the Hampshire County Council website before you travel, especially outside the main summer season.
