About Longdown Activity Farm
Longdown Activity Farm sits on the edge of the New Forest at Ashurst, just west of Southampton, and is built around daily hands-on animal activities that children love. The timetable includes bottle-feeding kid goats and calves and holding fluffy chicks, and visitors can meet donkeys, horses, alpacas, pygmy goats, Kunekune pigs, cows and more throughout the day. Alongside the animals is an all-inclusive outdoor play area packed with trampolines, a zip-wire, ride-on toy tractors, go-karts, crazy golf, a sandpit, diggers and mud kitchens, plus an accessible swing. Families can refuel at the on-site tearoom and Chicken Shack, and there is a farm shop too. Thoughtful touches for accessibility include a Changing Places facility and disabled parking, with free parking opposite the entrance on Deerleap Lane. Dogs cannot come onto the farm but shaded kennels are provided, and assistance dogs are welcome. Admission is paid, with under-3s free and discounted assisted-needs tickets, and visits should be booked and paid for online in advance with a chosen arrival time.
