About Daisy Dip Park

Daisy Dip Park is a large informal open space of almost eight hectares between Swaythling and Bassett, managed by Southampton City Council. The site is split by Lobelia Road and takes in a mix of open mown field, wetland meadows, grassland and woodland margins, giving it a semi-natural, parkland feel. For children there is a play area, and in the western part of the park there is a small skate ramp with some obstacles. A multi-use games area (MUGA) provides space for ball games, and there is a rain shelter for when the weather turns. Woodland walking paths wind through the quieter edges, mixing surfaced routes with unmade paths that can be seasonally muddy. Access is mostly good on the surfaced paths, though there are some steep inclines in places. Roadside parking is available nearby off Daisy Road. As a free, public open space it serves as an everyday green space and play destination for families in the Bassett and Swaythling neighbourhoods.
