About Home Farm Attingham

Home Farm Attingham is a traditional, family-run farm on the National Trust's Attingham estate at Atcham, just a few miles from Shrewsbury, welcoming visitors since 1987. Although it sits on the estate it is a separate family business with its own admission. It is a genuine hands-on farm visit: you can meet and feed a wide variety of friendly animals including cows, goats, sheep, ducks, geese, rabbits, chickens, miniature Shetland ponies, donkeys and free-roaming peacocks, with buckets of animal feed available to buy. Spring is the highlight, when families can help bottle-feed lambs and goat kids, all included in the entry fee. Alongside the animals there are outdoor play and nature areas for children to explore, plus refreshments, toilets and parking on site. Admission is modestly priced, with under-3s free. The farm has a clearly defined season, opening daily from 21 March to 1 November (10am-5pm) and closing over winter, so it is a spring-to-autumn day out; there is no need to book in advance as you pay on arrival.
