About Clifton Central Park (Flower Park)

Clifton Central Park, known locally as the Flower Park, is a free, public park on Swansdown Drive in Clifton, south Nottingham, managed by Nottingham City Council. Set behind Clifton Leisure Centre, it is an attractive green space with flower beds and wooded areas that give the park its nickname. The council's outdoor play facilities listing records a children's playground and an outdoor gym at the site. The play area, redeveloped with community input in 2017, was designed for children from toddlers up to around age 12 and includes monkey bars, swings, a wheelchair-accessible roundabout, a toddler climbing unit with slide, springy animals and a large castle multi-play unit. Its flower theme is carried through with a pair of 'talking flowers', sunflower hopscotch and a graphic trail of flowers, a ladybird, a butterfly and bees. Alongside the playground is an outdoor fitness area aimed at teenagers and adults, so the park caters for a range of ages. Clifton Central Park is open to the public free of charge throughout the year and forms part of Nottingham City Council's network of parks and open spaces.
