About Seacroft Gardens
Seacroft Gardens is a community green space in the Seacroft area on the eastern side of Leeds, managed by Leeds City Council. It brings together sport, play and a community centre that hosts events and regular sessions, making it a hub for the local area. The children's playground was given a full upgrade in 2021 and is now a fenced-off play area with swings, a climbing frame and a slide, plus a sensory touch stone designed in the style of an underwater world, which adds an extra dimension of play for younger and sensory-seeking children. There is also benched picnic seating within the playground, so parents and carers can sit comfortably while children play. Sport is well catered for, with two enclosed five-a-side football pitches, a full-sized grass adult football pitch, a basketball court with fixed hoops and markings, and a tennis court. The surrounding open grass gives room for informal games and running around. With its fenced, modern playground and good range of pitches, Seacroft Gardens is a practical and welcoming space for families and young people in east Leeds, and the on-site community centre means there are often organised activities to join.
