About Calverley Victoria Park

Calverley Victoria Park is a traditional village park in Calverley, around 7.5 miles west of Leeds city centre and covering approximately 3.8 hectares. Managed by Leeds City Council, it combines sport, play and quiet green space in a well-kept setting. The newly refurbished children's play area is a highlight for families, with swings, slides, climbing frames and a spinner. The park is also the home of Calverley Cricket Club, and its cricket ground is the focal point in summer; alongside it there is a crown green bowling area, three free tennis courts that can be booked online, a basketball court and plenty of open grass for informal games. A war memorial stands within the grounds, reflecting the park's long-standing role at the heart of village life. A footpath surrounds the park and is accessible to all, suitable for the majority of manual and electric wheelchairs. Toilets are located in the cricket clubhouse, although their availability is limited outside the summer cricket season. There is on-site parking, which tends to fill up on match days, and the Calverley fish shop sits right next to the park for a treat after a visit. It is a friendly, community-focused park ideal for a relaxed family outing.
