About Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park

Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park sits at Wherstead on the edge of Ipswich and began as a rare-breeds pig farm made famous by its television series before growing into one of Suffolk's biggest family attractions. Run by The Essex Pig Company, the site combines a traditional rare-breeds farmyard with a full wildlife park of more than 100 species, from rare British farm animals to lions, tigers, primates, reindeer and camels. Children can get close to animals through hand-feeding opportunities and daily keeper talks, all included with admission. The play offer is generous, with an adventure playground, bouncy pillows and a woodland adventure area where families can build dens among the trees. When it is time to refuel, a restaurant and coffee house occupy a 200-year-old barn serving meals throughout the day, and there are farm and gift shops to browse. The farm is open seven days a week, with Sunday hours of 9am to 4pm and 9:30am to 4pm the rest of the week, and last entry one hour before closing. Booking online in advance secures the cheaper ticket prices, though you can also pay on arrival. On-site parking makes it an easy drive-to day out.
