About Davidson's Mains Park
Davidson's Mains Park is a City of Edinburgh Council community park in the north-west of the city, close to Corstorphine Hill. It comprises sweeping grassland set within a mixed woodland setting, with a children's play area for toddlers and juniors at its centre. Wide paved paths run around the edge of the park, making it easy to walk a circuit, and there is a small car park on site. Beyond the play area the park offers woodland walks, a millennium woodland planted to mark the year 2000, wildlife viewing areas and plenty of seating. It is a popular, free open space for local families and dog walkers, bordered by housing and woodland. The park is maintained by the council's north-west locality team. Its combination of open grass, mature trees and a central playground makes it a relaxed spot for younger children to play while adults walk the surrounding paths. The park is freely accessible throughout the year.
