About Greville Smyth Park

Greville Smyth Park is a community park in south Bristol, close to Ashton Gate Stadium, managed by Bristol City Council in partnership with the Friends of Greville Smyth Park (FROGS). Once part of the Ashton Court estate, it is now a lively neighbourhood green space with three football pitches, tennis courts, a bowling green, a ping pong table and five outdoor exercise stations. Its play provision is unusual: the council describes it as the only park in Bristol with a range of dynamic structures aimed specifically at teenagers. Younger children are well served too, with swings, toddler multiplay, a bicycle carousel and a variety of rockers, set within dog-free play areas for under 12s and for teenagers. There is no admission charge and the park is open at all times. The park sits on different levels, so some paths are not suitable for wheelchairs, and there is no dedicated car park on site. The council page does not list on-site toilets or a cafe.
