About Bowling Park

Bowling Park, in the East Bowling area of Bradford, is a historic public park on the national register of historic parks and gardens. For families there are two play areas, including one that was recently refurbished and a dedicated play area for ages 0 to 3, so there is equipment suited to both toddlers and older children. Around the playgrounds the park packs in a lot: three well-maintained bowling greens with a clubhouse, two tennis courts, a five-a-side pitch and basketball court, outdoor fitness equipment and a mini pitch and putt that is free to use. A community orchard with fruit trees, a fossilised tree stump and a monument add character, and National Cycle Route 66 runs through the park. Community facilities include The Hut, which hires out tennis and pitch-and-putt equipment and runs a youth drop-in and weekend refreshments, and The Lodge community café. The park is open 24 hours a day, all year round, and is free to visit. It sits on Bowling Hall Road, BD4 7TL, close to the south of Bradford city centre.
