About Arrowe Country Park
Arrowe Country Park stretches across some 250 acres of open parkland, ponds and deciduous woodland in the centre of the Wirral peninsula and is managed by Wirral Council. The park is open all year round and free to enter, including its two play areas: a toddler's play area and a larger children's adventure playground, both free to use like all of the council's playgrounds. The surrounding parkland offers plenty for a full day out, with a golf course and pitch and putt, tennis, bowls, angling, orienteering, picnic areas and gentle woodland walks around the ponds. There is a cafe next to the golf shop, open 8am to 6pm from late March to October and 8am to 3pm through the winter, plus toilets on site. One thing to budget for is parking: car parking is paid, from £1.20 for up to an hour to £6 for a full day, though Blue Badge holders park free. Coach and bike parking are also available. Vehicle access and parking run from dawn till dusk, with some restrictions during events. For space to roam plus two playgrounds, Arrowe Country Park is one of the Wirral's best family outings.
