About Nick's Farm
Nick's Farm is a small but much-loved family-run petting farm in the village of Holdenhurst on the edge of Bournemouth, founded in 2012. Billed as Bournemouth's own petting farm, it is home to more than 200 animals including ponies, goats, pigs, sheep, peacocks, rabbits and guinea pigs, many of which roam freely so children can get up close in a relaxed, friendly setting. It is designed to be welcoming and inclusive for all ages and abilities, making it a gentle, hands-on day out that suits babies, toddlers and young children particularly well. Visitors can buy bags of animal feed to hand to most of the animals, adding to the interactive experience, and there are play areas to keep little ones busy. The farm hosts seasonal events and birthday parties through the year. It opens most days of the week - Monday to Wednesday and Friday, plus weekends with slightly longer hours - and is closed on Thursdays, so it is worth checking current times before travelling. Entry is charged at a modest rate with under-2s going free, and there is parking on site. The farm is easy to reach from central Bournemouth.
