About Staunton Farm (Staunton Country Park)

Staunton Farm, part of Hampshire County Council's Staunton Country Park at Havant, is an ornamental farm set within a historic estate of gardens, glasshouses and parkland, within reach of the Southampton and Portsmouth area. The farm is home to a wide range of animals - from pigs, sheep, goats and chickens to llamas, alpacas, deer, cows and horses - and there is a children's paddock where youngsters can pet smaller animals and join animal-encounter sessions. For active play, George's play barn offers an indoor soft play with a dedicated toddler zone, climbing walls, a fireman's pole, a net bridge and slides, while older children can tackle the outdoor adventure playground. Families can also explore a maze, the ornamental gardens and the Regency glasshouse, and refuel at the on-site tearoom with reasonably priced food and drink. The farm is open daily year-round, 10am to 5pm in summer and 10am to 4pm in winter, closing only on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Admission is paid, with family tickets available, and general entry needs no advance booking. Only assistance dogs may enter the farm, though the wider country park is dog-friendly.
