About Downhills Park Playground
Downhills Park lies in the West Green area of the London Borough of Haringey, on the edge of Wood Green and Tottenham, and is managed by the council. Covering about 12 hectares, it combines open recreation space with a managed ornamental garden area that includes a rose garden, alongside tennis courts and basketball courts. Haringey Council built children's play facilities here in the 1980s, and the park's playground has long been a draw for local families. The park is a Green Flag Award winner. As part of a borough-wide investment in play areas, the Downhills Park playground was upgraded during improvement works in 2026 with new equipment; during those works the council directed families to nearby Chestnuts Park as an alternative, so please check the council website for the latest status before travelling. Entry to the park is free and the grounds are freely accessible year round. Facilities are maintained by the London Borough of Haringey.
