About Nant Mill Country Park

Nant Mill is a riverside country park near the village of Coedpoeth, about three miles west of Wrexham in the Clywedog Valley, run by Wrexham County Borough Council. Centred on the site of a former corn mill, it is a peaceful spot where ancient woodland runs alongside the River Clywedog, popular with walkers, wildlife spotters and families. There is a small children's play area next to the picnic area, making it an easy stop for younger children before or after a woodland walk. The park sits on the Clywedog Valley Trail, a 6.5-mile route through the valley that links Minera Lead Mines, by way of Nant Wood and Plas Power Wood, with King's Mill on the edge of Wrexham, passing other industrial-heritage sites along the way. The visitor centre and toilets are currently closed, so facilities on site are limited. Entry to the park is free; the car park operates a £1 daily charge (free for Blue Badge holders), payable by cash machine or the JustPark cashless system. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control and on a lead in the signposted areas. The nearest postcode is LL11 3BT.
