About Eastwood Park

Eastwood Park is a roughly 14-acre community park in Hasland, to the south-east of Chesterfield, given to the public in 1913 by Alderman Eastwood in memory of his father. Managed by Chesterfield Borough Council, it is free to enter and serves as a hub for both recreation and community life, with Hasland Village Hall set within the grounds. For families there are two play areas, a dedicated junior area and a separate toddler area, offering equipment such as swings, slides, climbing frames, a zip line and a sandpit, with soft safety surfacing underneath. An outdoor gym provides free exercise equipment for older children and adults. The park also has strong sports provision, including a football pitch, cricket pitch, bowling green and tennis courts, alongside grassed open space for informal play. Quieter corners include a rose garden and a wildlife area, making the park appealing to a wide range of visitors. With its mix of play, sport and gardens in a residential setting, Eastwood Park is a well-used local green space for families in Hasland and the surrounding area, suitable for play dates, picnics and community events.
