About Knyveton Gardens

Knyveton Gardens is a peaceful ornamental park in Boscombe, just back from the seafront, aimed especially at families with younger children. Managed by BCP Council, its children's play area is designed for toddlers and smaller children rather than older kids, with a toddler multi-play unit that has a slide, a toddler bridge and a see-saw, along with somersault bars, play panels with games, a hopscotch and a table tennis table. The gardens are easily accessible all year round, with unrestricted access for wheelchairs and buggies, making them a comfortable choice for visitors with pushchairs or mobility needs. There is on-road parking on Frances Road, including disabled spaces near the Frances Road entrance, and a disabled toilet in the bowls pavilion when it is open. Beyond the play area the gardens offer three tennis courts, a bowling club, a sensory garden with a goldfish pond and a nature trail with wildlife information posts, so there is plenty to explore at a relaxed pace. Knyveton Gardens is free to enter and is owned and managed by BCP Council, the local authority for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
