About Stocking Park
Stocking Park is a free, public play space on Stocking Park Road in Lightmoor, on the southern edge of Telford, managed by Telford & Wrekin Council. Lightmoor village sits on the fringes of urban Telford near Doseley, in an area that blends modern housing with woodland and open green spaces. The council lists Stocking Park as having a play area together with a half ball court, giving children a place to play and older children space for informal ball games. It is one of two listed playgrounds in Lightmoor, the other being a junior play area off Ellens Bank. The wider Lightmoor area includes orchards, parks, a football pitch and areas of open space and woodland, so the play area forms part of a broader network of green space in the village. As with the council's other neighbourhood playgrounds, Stocking Park is free to use and open to the public. The council directory lists the facilities but does not publish details on surfacing, accessibility, toilets, parking or dog access, so visitors wanting those specifics should contact Telford & Wrekin Council directly.
