About Leegomery Pools (Whimbrel Close play park)
Leegomery Pools is a green open space in the Leegomery area to the north of Telford, with a neighbourhood children's play area at Whimbrel Close listed in Telford & Wrekin Council's find-a-playground directory. The play area is located adjacent to 10 Whimbrel Close and serves the surrounding housing as a handy local spot for younger children. Mapping records show play equipment suited to roughly ages 3 to 12, set on an asphalt surface, making it a straightforward everyday playground rather than a destination park. Around the play area, the Leegomery Pools green space offers open grassland for informal play and short walks. Because this is a small neighbourhood facility, the council listing does not publish details such as on-site toilets, parking or refreshments, so families are best treating it as a quick-visit local play park. Entry is free. Leegomery has several other small play areas nearby - including Warwick Way and the community centre - so it is an area well served by free play provision for local children.
