About Telford Town Park

Telford Town Park sits at the centre of the new town and is one of the borough's flagship green spaces, holding Green Flag status. For families it offers five play areas aimed at a range of ages, including a trim trail, a spiders web climbing frame, a rocket slide and a toddlers sand pit area. An inclusive play area with wheelchair access means children of all abilities can play together. Beyond the playgrounds there is an aerial ropes course and a mini golf adventure course, while seasonal water play is a summer favourite. The park also has fishing pools and an amphitheatre used for events. Part of the southern end of the park is designated as a Local Nature Reserve, with regenerating woodland and ponds rich in wildlife. Practical facilities are strong: a visitor centre houses toilets and a snack bar, and there are three car parks (Dark Lane, Southwater multi-storey and Brown Elm) each with disabled parking spaces. Entry to the park and its playgrounds is free, making it an easy day out for Telford families and visitors.
