About Northwood Park
Northwood Park is a neighbourhood park in Northwood, close to Hanley, managed by Stoke-on-Trent City Council. It is a local, community-focused green space rather than a large formal park, offering a convenient spot for nearby families to let children play and for teenagers to use outdoor facilities. The council describes it as having good play facilities for both teenagers and children, centred on a children's play area and a multi-use games area (MUGA) where youngsters can play ball games such as football and basketball. The surrounding open grass gives room for informal play and kickabouts. In keeping with its role as a local park, Northwood Park does not have toilets or on-site parking, so it is best suited to visitors arriving on foot from the surrounding residential streets. Dogs are allowed off lead unless a council officer directs otherwise, making it handy for local dog walkers too. As a free, open green space, Northwood Park provides an easy, no-cost outing for families living nearby who want a quick trip to the playground or the games area without travelling across the city. Its compact size and residential setting make it a genuinely local amenity serving the Northwood community.
