About Victoria Park Playground
Victoria Park in Swinton opened as a public park in 1897 on the grounds of the former Swinton Old Hall, which was demolished in 1993. Its centrepiece is a beautifully restored Grade II listed Victorian bandstand, built around 1897 to mark the 60th year of Queen Victoria's reign. Operated by the City of Salford, the park has been awarded three Green Flag Awards, the national standard for parks and green spaces. Families will find a children's play area and outdoor gym alongside bowling greens, tennis courts, a tree trail, toilets (open while staff are on site) and on-site car parking.
