About Roberts Park

Roberts Park lies in the heart of Saltaire, the UNESCO World Heritage model village, on the north bank of the River Aire near Shipley. Designed by William Gay for Sir Titus Salt and opened in 1871, it is an elegant Victorian park that remains a popular family destination. Beyond the playground the park has a restored bandstand, a cricket pitch overlooked by a pavilion, picnic areas, a wildflower area and riverside walking routes, making it an attractive spot for a family stroll. The Half Moon Café is located beneath the pavilion, where visitors can relax and enjoy panoramic views over the cricket ground. There is roadside car parking on Coach Road and Higher Coach Road and near the Lodge entrance, and an accessibility route runs through the park, with further accessibility detail available via AccessAble.
