About Southglade Park

Southglade Park is a free, public park on Southglade Road in Bestwood, north Nottingham, managed by Nottingham City Council. One of the larger neighbourhood parks on the north side of the city, it offers plenty for families and older children in one place. The council's outdoor play facilities listing records a children's playground, a multi-use games area, an outdoor gym and a skate park, making it a popular destination for a range of ages. In November 2021 a Tiny Forest was planted at the park as part of the Earthwatch Europe programme, creating a dense pocket of native trees alongside an outdoor classroom area used by local schools and residents. The park also has large areas of open grassland for informal play and walking. Southglade Park sits next to Southglade Leisure Centre and Southglade Park Library on the same road, so visitors can combine a trip to the playground with other community facilities nearby. The park is open to the public free of charge throughout the year as part of Nottingham City Council's network of parks and open spaces.
